Three must be a lucky for number for Trey Benton, III. Last weekend he rode 3 bulls for 90 points in a row, won the NIRA Southern Region Bull Riding Champion for the second year in a row for Sam Houston State, and walked away with the George Paul Memorial Gold Buckle – the Super Bull of Rodeo. The George Paul Memorial is the oldest bull riding event in the world having completed its 36th year and has champions such as Jim Sharp, Tuff Hedeman, Jerome Davis, JW Harris, Clint Craig, and now Trey Benton. After having such an outstanding weekend, Trey said “Wow, what a weekend, so blessed to pull off one of my greatest achievements. Thank you to God for watching over me and having such a great family behind me.” Congratulations Trey!
