On the 2016 CBR tour, Bownds rode nine of the fifteen bulls and appeared in the final four Shoot Out round twice. He’s coming in with 793.5 points. Wyatt RogersWyatt Rogers, currently ranked #9, just wrapped up his first College National Finals. Rogers, representing Southeastern Oklahoma State University, placed fifth in the overall intercollegiate bull riding standings. On the Road to Cheyenne, Rogers rode in fourteen of the fifteen stops and advanced to the semifinal round seven times and the four man Shoot Out round twice. With experience under his belt, watch for Rogers to be coming in stronger than ever.
Cody TeelCody Teel has been known to turn on the heat in July and this year is no different. Teel just won over $100,000 at the Calgary Stampede, edging out some of the best bull riders going today. He will be returning to Cheyenne as the defending 2015 CBR World Champion and is currently in the #4 position. Watch for the “Rocky Balboa” of the CBR to be bringing the heat to Cheyenne.
Jacob O’MaraComing in from Louisiana, Jacob O'Mara is no stranger to the heat or to Cheyenne, WY. O’Mara will be returning once again to the CBR finals, but this time he’s coming in the #2 spot just behind Sage Kimzey. On the Road to Cheyenne, O’Mara won Rio Rancho, NM; Bossier City, LA; and Fort Worth, TX. He also won finished second this year in the CBR Horizon Series. The newlywed will also be competing against his brother-in-law, Koby Radley, the CBR Horizons (qualifying tour) year end winner. With the family support, the crowd will be cheering loud for this Louisiana cowboy! The Cheyenne Frontier nights will be bringing two performances with five rounds of top cowboys and bulls and a total pay out of over $665,000. The cowboys will be spurring and the bulls will be bucking.
#1 Cody TeelHe’s won Rio Rancho, NM. He’s won Lufkin, TX. He’s won the prestigious George Paul Memorial in Del Rio, TX. Cody Teel is coming into the CBR World Finals as the number one man. We recently caught up with Teel and asked how the CBR has influenced his career. “The CBR has helped me by giving me the opportunity to get on great bulls and a chance to enhance my yearly income since the events have such great payouts. It’s a great atmosphere all around as far as the competition side goes. #26 Trey BentonWhile he may be getting a late start to this year’s rodeo season, Trey Benton is no stranger to the Championship Bull Riding. Last year he won over 75,000 and finished second in the world standings. Benton has been on fire since his return, having just won Molalla, OR and Oakley City, UT.
